A Rich History

Childhood Treasures began with a mother’s love and a father’s encouragement.

In 1980, Lynn Morris created her first piece of personalized name artwork for her young son’s bedroom. What started as a heartfelt project quickly grew into something more. With the support of her husband, Larry Morris, Lynn continued developing the alphabet into whimsical, lovable characters—and Childhood Treasures was born.

Soon, the business was running out of our family garage, and Lynn was juggling full-time teaching, raising three children, and growing a small business. Eventually, she passed the torch to her brother, Jim Stewart, who lovingly ran Childhood Treasures for many years with his wife. When they later closed the business, our parents bought it back, keeping the heart of it alive even as it went quiet for a while.

In 2012, their daughter Abigail breathed new life into the company, reopening Childhood Treasures with a fresh perspective. After a short hiatus, she relaunched again in 2023—this time bringing her sister, Lea, into the business. Now, nearly the entire family is involved, and we are incredibly proud to carry on this treasured family tradition, together.

Since 1981, Childhood Treasures has had the privilege of becoming part of cherished moments in thousands of households. From placing that special ornament on the tree each year, to celebrating milestones with personalized dinnerware, our products have held a place in the hearts of families for over four decades.

A lot has changed since those early days. The original “Childhood Treasures” generation now has children of their own, and we’ve grown along with them. We continue to offer the beloved keepsakes our customers know and love, while also expanding to include a wider selection of kid-friendly (and parent-approved) items that are as fun as they are durable.

To our loyal customers—thank you. Your stories, your support, and the joy our products bring to your homes are what inspire us to keep doing what we do. Here's to many more years of memories, magic, and family tradition.

With gratitude,
The Childhood Treasures Family
